Aura ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Aura mobile application.

By using Aura, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Screenshots and images you voluntarily upload for analysis (e.g., dating app conversations or profiles)
• Text content you paste or type into the app for analysis
• Preferences and settings you configure during onboarding (vibe tags, dating intentions)
• Account information if you sign in with Apple or Google (name, email address)
• Usage data including app interactions and feature usage patterns

How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered reply suggestions and profile analysis
• To personalize responses based on your vibe preferences
• To save your history of reads and replies within the app
• To improve the app's features and performance
• To communicate with you about your account or support requests

Third-Party AI Services

We do not sell your data to Anthropic or any third party for advertising purposes. Data transmitted to the API is used solely to generate your requested analysis.

Data Storage

Your preferences, vibe settings, and read history are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not maintain a central database of your personal conversations or the content of messages you upload for analysis.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

Authentication

If you choose to sign in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name and email) from those services. We use this only to create and manage your account. We do not share this information with third parties.

Data Retention

Screenshots and message content you submit for analysis are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to deliver the AI response. Your local app data (history, preferences) remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of any future communications from us
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Children's Privacy

Aura is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Security

All data transmitted between the Aura app and our servers, as well as to the Anthropic API, is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
